A) Comprehensive
This policy provides an indemnity in respect of:-

  1. Loss of or damage to any insured vehicle and its accessories and spare parts therein by:-
    • Accidental collision or overturning.
    • Fire, external explosion, self ignition, lightning, burglary, housebreaking or theft.
    • Malicious act.
    • Whilst in transit by road, rail, inland waterway, lift or elevator.
       
  2. Indemnity in respect of legal liability to third parties for bodily injury or death and/or damage to property.
  3. The cost of protection and removal of the vehicle to the nearest repairer.
  4. Medical expenses incurred by the driver and any occupants of the insured vehicle as a result of bodily injury sustained in an accident.

B) Third Party Fire and Theft
 This form of policy provides indemnity as stated under Items I (b), 2 and 3 above.

C) Third Party Only Cover
This form of policy provides Indemnity in respect of legal liability to third parties for bodily injury or death and/or damage to property.

INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR ISSUANCE OF COVER/QUOTATION

  • Original or Certified copy of vehicle Registration card
  • Value of the vehicle
  • Type of cover requested Comprehensive or Third Party only
  • Recent Photos of the Vehicle (For a comprehensive cover )

CLAIMS PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  1. DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE

    In an event of accident which results to damage of your own vehicle, please do the following;
    • Report immediately to the police and obtain a Vehicle Inspection Report (PF 93) and sketch map and send the documents to us.
    • Report to us the accident as soon as possible within 48 hours.
    • Obtain and complete claim form and return to us.
    • Send us a copy of your driver's license.
    • Obtain estimated price for repairing the vehicle from a garage you intend to take your vehicle for repairs, and send us the price quotation. HOWEVER DO NOT AUTHORIZE REPAIRS WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.
    • Obtain police reports PF 90 and PF 115 once available and send us the documents.

  2. THEFT OF YOUR MOTOR VEHICLE
    • Report to the police immediately and obtain preliminary police report.
    • Report  the incident to us as soon as possible.
    • Obtain and complete a claim form and return it to us along with the preliminary police report.
    • Write or obtain from the driver a detailed statement on the incident and submit to us.

  3. THIRD PARTIES CLAIMS
    If someone is claiming against you in respect of damage to his vehicle, property or injury following an accident, please do the following:
    • Report to us as soon as possible.
    • Forward the third party’s claim letter or legal document or other documents unanswered. Do not promise any payment.
    • Do not admit liability.
    • Complete a claim form and forward to us with relevant supporting documents such as a copy of your driver’s driving licence and police reports PF 90 & PF 115
