Overview
Money Insurance protects businesses against financial loss caused by theft, burglary, or unexpected incidents involving money kept on the premises or in transit anywhere in the United Republic of Tanzania.
Money includes cash, banknotes, currency notes, cheques, postal orders, credit cards, vouchers, and any instrument that can be exchanged at face value.
Information required for issuance or quotation

Business details, including business name, type, industry, and operations

Financial information, including annual turnover and average cash holdings

Cash handling procedures, including how cash is stored and the security measures in place, such as safes or alarms

Cash transit details, including the frequency of collections and deliveries, amounts and transportation method

Employee information, including the number of employees handling cash, background checks and training

Previous loss history

Desired coverage, including amount required and type of cover, such as cash in transit, during working hours or after working hours
Claims procedures and documents required
• Notify the insurer or NMB claims team within 72 hours
• Photos of damaged areas or forced entry
• Other supporting documents as requested
