  • Contact your nearest branch
  • Open an NMB account
  • Fill in merchant services application forms
  • For limited companies, provision of Board Resolution enquiring for POS is necessary to be signed by directors of the company
  • Bank statements for 6 months. For new accounts: provide statements for other banks.
  • All account opening documentation will also be spooled for reference and verification for legitimacy of your business
  • Website information and web developer information will be required for review
  • After necessary reviews your web developer will be linked with NMB Card systems technical personnel for integration project.



Quick Response code (QR)

This is a cost- effective solution where onboarding is easy and seamless. The NMB QR solutions are compatible with all banks and all MNOs powered by MasterCard QR. i.e. Tigopesa, Halopesa and Airtel. This service offering is known to be secure and easy for business to reconcile transactions and monitor them. Scheme offered are MasterCard(Masterpass) and Visa(MVisa).

How to get NMB QR Solution

  1. Contact your nearest branch
  2. Open an NMB account
  3. Fill in merchant services application forms
  4. Minimal KYC requirements to be provided. Either of the selected IDs
  5. Provide bank statements, if applicable
  6. Once the application is reviewed and approved, delivery and training will follow.


Point of Sale (POS)

Point of Sale (POS)offer our merchants convenience of accepting card based transactions on our terminals through Chip and PIN or Contactless transactions. The means of communication on the POS terminal includes GPRS, WIFI and LAN.

We offer two types of terminals; Stand alone or Biller. Stand alone is a solution that does not require integration with the sales system. Biller POS is mainly offered to government entities with the capability of keying in control numbers through POS directly linked to GEPG and NMB core banking systems. Both terminals accept card schemes from MasterCard, Visa and Union Pay.

How to get NMB POS Solution

  1. Contact your nearest branch
  2. Open an NMB account
  3. Fill in merchant services application forms
  4. For limited companies, provision of Board Resolution inquiring for POS is necessary to be signed by directors of the company
  5. Bank statements for 6 months. For new accounts: provide statements from other banks.
  6. All account opening documentation will also be spooled for reference and verification for legitimacy of your business.
  7. Your branch will forward the application to NMB Head Quarters for processing.
  8. Your POS Device will be delivered to your business and training will be provided to your staff.
