Jahazi insurance is offered to small and medium-sized fisheries to cover their vessel and associated machinery, as well as their equipment.  It is designed to provide coverage against fire, theft, sinking and third-party liabilities.
This solution is eligible to all vessel owners, fisheries employed by vessel owners and those who conduct fishing activities in oceans, lakes, rivers and large dams.

INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR ISSUANCE OF COVER/QUOTATION

• Marine Hull: - 3% of the value of the vessel
• Engine: 3% of the value of the machine
• Equipment: 3% of the value of equipment.
• Personal Accident Insurance

Basis of valuation

• Death arising from vessel accident up to TZS 2,000,000
• Permanent disability caused by vessel accident up to TZS 2,000,000
• Medical expenses up to TSZ 500,000
• Last expense (funeral benefits) up to TZS 200,000

Documents required:-

• Dully completed proposal form
• Copy of ID (NIDA, Driving License or Voters ID)
• Copy of the Fisher’s License
• Introduction letter from Fishers Association
