NMB Bank organized the NMB Bank Executive Network that brought together over 70 top ends Business Customers and corporates from Eastern zone who commands the annual turnover of over TZS 10 Billion each. Limited top end SME’s customers with turnover of over TZS 2.5Billion were also invited in the gathering which among others, they discussed on ways to improve their business relationship and foster rewarding relationship between the bank and its top end customers. NMB Bank has today organized a meeting event of NMB Bank Executive Network members from Eastern Zone, a meeting that brought together over 100 emerging and large corporates who commands the annual turnover of at least TZS 10 Billion each, some top end SME’s customers with turnover of over TZS 2.5Billion were also invited including prospects customers .

 

 

NMB Executive Network is a forum that started in 2014 targeting major cities Dar, Mwanza, Mbeya, Morogoro and Arusha with Kilimanjaro expected to be launched soon. The main aim of the network is to foster rewarding relationship with NMB business customers. This is achieved by providing forums for customers to explore business opportunities through training, capacity building and networking opportunities.

 

The NMB Managing Director – Ineke Bussemaker, said that the aim of holding such meetings is to strengthen business relations with its top end business and corporate customers.

 

“NMB is committed in ensuring that we do continuous improvement of products and services to match the changing needs of customers. This is achieved through feedback from customers such as from the Executive Network,” Said Ms Bussemaker    

 

Ms Bussemaker further saidthat improvements done by the bank so far will help to bring services more close to this segment of customers where they will not only get the best services but also acquire various trainings including the ones received at the meeting on Wellness and Governance.

 

Members of the Executive Network normally get trained on capacity building in areas affecting business (Business planning, Taxation, Business Regulations), sponsorship to major trade countries (China, Hong Kong, Dubai), Fast track counters at all NMB Branches, Preferential forex rates, Special customer ID as a recognition to all NMB Branches – all these are done in order to support businesses become and remain competitive.

 

SME activities are also of paramount importance to both the bank and the economy where in just few years the bank has so far supported over 60,000 SMEs nationwide, representing 25 per cent of the NMB’s overall business.

 

Ms Bussemaker said that SME’s use NMB services for current account and payments while others use NMB for internet banking or trade finance and foreign exchange. And a large proportion is using the lending products.

 

 

Through the Bank’s support to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), NMB has created business centres, which are dedicated branches only for SMEs nationwide. They are currently in Kariakoo, Arusha, Mbeya and Mwanza and soon to come in Sinza, Moshi and Morogoro.
