Francis’s 15-year career spans academia, hospitality management, and banking, giving him a rich multi-sectoral perspective. He joined NMB in 2019 to lead corporate strategy execution, where his leadership has been central to delivering sustainable outcomes. Over the past six years, he has successfully steered the Bank’s strategic planning processes, including the development of the Medium-Term Plan 2026-2030 (Agenda 2030), anchored on efficiency gains, astute portfolio management, prudent governance, and culture change.

Appointed Director and member of the Executive Team in charge of Strategy and Growth in 2025, Francis is responsible for shaping and driving execution of NMB’s growth aspirations, with a particular focus on inorganic expansion and service-centricity. A Certified Public Accountant (T) and a C-suite trained executive through the CEO Apprenticeship Program by the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania, Francis brings proven expertise in strategy planning and growth to guide the Bank’s long-term agenda.
